Background on this item -
La Boutique fantasque or The Magic Toy Shop was a ballet conceived by Léonide Massine who wrote the choreography and the libretto. Ottorino Respighi wrote the music based on piano pieces by Gioachino Rossini. Its world premiere was at the Alhambra Theatre in London on 5 June 1919 and was performed by Sergei Diaghilev's Ballets Russes. Lydia Lopokova and Massine played the roles of the can-can dancing dolls in the original performance with Enrico Cecchetti as the shopkeeper. Design for the original 1919 performance was by André Derain.

The Sorcerer's Apprentice (L'apprenti sorcier) is a symphonic poem by the French composer Paul Dukas, written in 1896-97. Subtitled "Scherzo after a ballad by Goethe," the piece was inspired by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's 1797 poem of the same name. By far the most performed and recorded of Dukas's works, its notable appearance in the Walt Disney 1940 animated film Fantasia has led to the piece becoming widely known to audiences outside the classical concert hall.

CONDITION Details:
The JACKET:
The JACKET is in excellent condition.
Although the jacket is completely intact with NO seam splits, it does have some shelf wear that can be noticed on the seams and corners and some color foxing on the front.
The jacket has a drill hole at the front, bottom, left corner.
There are 3 initials neatly printed on the back of the jacket, top, left corner. Other than this, there is NO other hand writing on the front or the back of the jacket.
The cover has good colors (a bit of color foxing due to age) - see pictures with this listing for more detail.

The LP (vinyl) itself:
The LP is in excellent condition.
The LP retains much of the original gloss and sheen!
The record has a couple of marks that can be seen on the vinyl. Nothing too serious, but should be noted. The LP was obviously well taken care of through the years, please note though, this LP is NOT perfect!
The record labels have NO significant spindle marks on them, just some light ones.
There are two marks on side 2 which may sound on some audio systems (depends on the sensitivity of your arm/cartridge/turntable set up). This is NOT a perfect LP, however side 1 is much nicer and had no marks that we could  ascertain. We play tested parts of the LP on our audio system and found it to perform well, with the occasional sound, as is typical of vintage LPs, but nothing too obtrusive.
This LP may have some light marks (spider marks) which are caused by sliding the LP in and out of the inner sleeve and are usually not audible on most audio systems (depends on the sensitivity of your arm/cartridge/turntable set up).

Please understand that this is a vintage record - as such, one cannot expect the vinyl to sound like a brand new, audiophile pressing! Some noise is inevitable - for best results, always properly clean your LPs before playing them.

The LP is an audiophile quality pressing (any collector of fine MFSL, half speeds, direct to discs, Japanese/UK pressings etc., can attest to the difference a quality pressing can make to an audio system).

A Short Note About LP GRADING -
Mint {M} = Only used for sealed items.
Near Mint {NM} = Virtually flawless in every way.
Near Mint Minus {NM-} = Item has some minor imperfections, some audible.
Excellent {EXC} = Item obviously played and enjoyed with some noise.
Very Good Plus {VG+} = Many more imperfections which are noticeable and obtrusive.

Don't let this rarity slip by!!!
